Nov. 17 Notes Parallel and Perpendicular

Parallel and Perpendicular Line Segments

Line segments - a line with a beginning and an end. A piece of a line. You know a line ends when it has dots at each end.
Line segments are labeled with letters.

Intersecting - lines that cross or meet.

Parallel - describes lines in the same plane that never cross, or intersect
- they are marked using "arrows"

Perpendicular
- describes lines that intersect at right angles (90 degrees)
- they are marked using a small square
